Nov. 5: Virtual Training: Digital Forensics, Risk in Cryptocurrency

November 5 Virtual Training: 

Register now for our upcoming training, to be held 11/5/2021 from 9 am to 12:35 noon.

This will be a virtual training via Zoom, free to chapter members and $10 for non-members. To attend, be sure you have a good internet connection and a computer or mobile device equipped with Zoom.

About the presenter:
Dr. William Morrissette is Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences at Bay State College.  In this capacity, he oversees the criminal justice and general education programs as well as all Mobile Digital Forensics initiatives.  In addition to a Ph.D. in Philosophy, he also holds a Master of Arts in Human Development and a Bachelor of Arts in History.  He is a certified trainer in mobile digital forensics with the company MSAB which is based in Sweden. 

Additionally, William is certified in law enforcement by way of completion of the basic police training at the U.S. Treasury’s Federal Law Enforcement Training Center and is also certified as a polygraph examiner by the Central Intelligence Agency.     

In addition to his duties as Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, William also serves as program director for an Elder, Deaf, Deaf Blind and, Hard of Hearing victim of crime advocacy program funded by the federal Victims of Crime Act.  Prior to these positions he served for 15 years as President and Lead Trainer of Intuition, which was a national forensic consulting and training firm specializing in lie detection, forensic interviewing, and criminal interrogation.  Prior to Intuition, he served two years as a police officer and six years as a counter-intelligence interrogator/polygraph examiner with the Central Intelligence Agency.

About the presenter:
Joseph Ciccolo is the Founder & President of BitAML, a compliance advisory firm exclusively serving the Bitcoin and cryptocurrency market. Founded in 2015, BitAML has served hundreds of innovative clients including bitcoin ATM operators, cryptocurrency exchanges, traders and trading platforms, cryptocurrency hedge funds and lenders.

Joe is a frequent guest speaker at both cryptocurrency and compliance industry events, and conducts formal training for bank executives, compliance officers, and members of law enforcement. He also advises a growing number of traditional institutions that offer banking services to, or partner with, cryptocurrency companies. 

Prior to launching BitAML, Joe was a founding member and architect of the BSA/AML compliance program of a top 100 US-based online financial institution. He also served as a project manager for a top 20 global bank, where he led several regulatory and AML audit remediation projects. Before entering the field of AML, Joe held leadership positions within various risk management disciplines, including vendor due diligence, fraud prevention, and corporate investigations.
